Registered 2009 SP4???

Yesterday I did a direct FTP download of one of Dave Snow's great assets. Tried to download another one today. Tried several of them, and now get a DLS message that says I need a registered 2009 SP4 or 2010 serial number to download any of them. What changed since yesterday?

Nothing - DaveSnow's assets since 28th May have been for TS09 SP4/TS10, rather than TC 1&2. I can only assume that he's aquired a more recent copy of Trainz - not that that would prevent him uploading at Trainz Build 2.7.

i haven't been able to get any of davesnow creations since the 16th of june.
content manager says it can't find the url. this is the only objects that i can't download.
the ones i downloaded the 16th i had to change the trainz build to 2.7
i tried to start a thread but it never got any solutions.
too bad since they are well needed.

Thing is, until yesterday I'd never had any problems downloading and installing 2010 assets in 2009. Just changed the Trainz build version to 3.1.

Now it looks like Auran won't even allow me to download them.

Another ploy to force an upgrade to 2012?

As long as you have installed SP4, you should be able to download most TS2010 assets into TS2009.

Installing them isn't the issue. As of yesterday the DLS won't even let me download them.

I'd previously installed sp4, but it crashed horribly and I had to do a full re-install of 2009 and upgrade to sp3. And even that wouldn't give me sn sp4 serial number.

A word of warning: if the assets are trainz-build 3.3, you must have TS2009 SP4 installed to use them, or alter the trainz-build tag to 2.9.

Note though, that if it uses TS2009 SP4/TS2010 features that are not present in earlier TS2009 versions, then you will only be able to use them with SP4.

Also, the serial number for a TS2009 SP4 version is no different from any other version of TS2009, the crucial part is the build version, which gets updated when SP4 is installed.
