Recover Corrupted/Missing Route

I've accidentally done a hard restart on my PC (my foot pressed the reset button on my tower), and as a result of this it's damaged a load of data on my HDD. I know this because after the restart, the Trainz Launcher refused to start up, and once I'd fixed this, the game had lost my Serial and login details (which I re-entered). Prior to doing a Hard Reset, I was in Trainz editing the route, and the incident occurred around a second or two of a save completing.

After running Windows's built in Disk checker, a temporary file around 3GB in size has appeared in the root of the drive, and after CMP running a Database repair, my route does not show up in Trainz or in Content Manager. I've run the extended Database repair again, to no avail, and have resorting to coming here for help.

Is there any way to recover a corrupted Route which isn't recognised by either Trainz OR Content Manager? The Session for the route is still intact.

Screen clipping showing the Session's dependencies. The unknown item is the Route, the author number in the kuid matches up to me so I know it's the route.

I do have a backup, somewhere on my PC, but it's so outdated I'd still be losing a significant amount of work, so is a very last option.

Around 6 months' work lost if I have to start again, the backup takes me down to only 2 months or lost work, but that's still a lot: working on it 12 hours a day, every Saturday and Sunday (more or less), that's a lot of work.

I'm using Trainz 2009 (still), build 38869.

Any help is appreciated, even if it's bad news. Thanks in Advance.

PC Info if it's needed:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
16GB RAM
Intel i3 Processor
Asus H81 Gamer Motherboard
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface (as a sound-card, doubt this would be required, but it's there in case)
Nvidia Geforce 220 GPU
