Re-installing Simulator 12

I'm reinstalling Trainz Simulator 12 onto my Windows 8.1 HP Notebook from the original CD's. Which patches will I need to install and in what order, or Will the latest service pack be all I need?

Check the build number in the bottom right corner of the start-up screen. You will need the patches that start with that number. All patches need to be "number connected".

Thanks for this. I see on that site that there are several files that start with my current build number (49922). Do I select the one that goes straight to the newest build in one go (49922-61388) or does it have to be done in stages? I see some are called Hotfixes and some are called Service Packs. Is there a difference?
Also from your avatar I see you have Trainz Driver on iPad. Are you experiencing the non-start issue after updating to iOS8? Auran recognize the problem and have sent a fix to Apple apparently. (I have Trainz Simulator and Trainz Driver on my iPad Mini but either show on my avatar. I'll have to look into that when I can open them again.)

You can go from 49922 to 61388 in one go. I even would do that myself.
Please know that this patch will take a VERY long time. Be sure to turn off your virus tester and do not expect to play the game for at least a few hours (unless you have an SSD (and you usually know if you have)).

Offtopic:
I got the iPad game; have not used it for a year or so. I mainly keep myself busy with TS12 and mainly asset creation (when I find time).
