Actually depends on what you drive, about half the steam engine specs have some kind of glitch where they won't respond to the Raildriver throttle or reverser. All the diesels and electrics I've tried work fine in TS2010 and TS12. Main reason the C-41 was the only steamer I've reskinned so far is because it was the first steamer I found that did work perfectly with Raildriver, GOTTA have my Raildriver!

The main functions work, but I've found some funny interactions that I haven't quite figured out yet. On my setup, the 'Pause' key not only toggles Pause, it also brings up the "Save/Don't Save" Dialog as if I have tried to exit the program. The 'Sand' button toggles sanding, but it also turns down the throttle one notch each time it is pushed.

Still have the same two, both have survived 8 1/2 years of use and abuse and accidents, in two different states on a dozen different computers and two different operating systems and three different train simulators with dozens of kids and one dog trying to break them. Solid, sturdy, well designed, well worth the asking price.

yes once you go raildriver, you will never want to control a train sim with anything else... well unless you can get a real cab.

Yeah, I've had Trainz for over a year now and I have no idea which key commands are used for the controls. First few months after rail simulator came out were agony until they finally came out with a Raildriver software interface for railsim.
Just occurred to me, MSTS requires the F5 HUD on plus a preloading TSR launcher to work with raildriver - railsim/railworks also requires starting a seperate interface program before launching the game. Trainz is the only one that's completely seamless, install, calibrate, fuggedabowdit all you gotta do is start trainz driver and the Raildriver software loads automatically.
Digging thru some old stuff, what I first installed my Raildrivers on;
CPU: AMD K6-2 450mhz
Video: 3Dfx Banshee 8mb
64mb RAM
WD 2gb hard drive
CPU: AMD Athlon 800mhz
Video: 3Dfx Voodoo 16mb
128mb RAM
WD 4gb hard drive
Operating system for both was Windows 98SE. Gotta love hardware that's compatible with practically everything, altho I haven't tried driving my car with it yet. :hehe:

I have one and love it! norfolksouthern37 is right, once you start using it you won't want to control a train using anything else.
I don't think you can buy them in stores, but they ship UPS anywhere, lot of Brits use them. Here's a review by the owner of UKtrainsim;

Got a funny conflict there, the text I'm seeing says it's on sale for $20 bucks off, but "not currently in stock at Walthers, Expected: Unknown"?
Raildriver themselves were sold out for a while this summer, but apparently got in new stocks ready for shipping, possibly Walthers just forgot to update the text. At the Raildriver link, scroll down and there's a raildriver plus TS2009 bundle for those interested in both.

RailDriver is made in China. When they go into production, they are made in large groups that fill a TEU-container...or maybe several...:wave:
If you wait, alternative suppliers will receive orders they have place with P.I. Engineering, that are back-ordered...like Walthers for instance...:hehe:
Hopefully, extra parts will be made for sale as repair parts...I lost the dentents, or "Positive Stops," in the reverse lever. I was told the cost of the part would be so high....
