Radius Tool

Is there a track radius tool ? I have tried the "ruler" in surveyor tools-when it goes over bumpy hills and valleys, does that disrupt the measurement reading ? Does it show the path measurement, or as the crow flies (aerial) measurement ? I would prefer a Imperial track radius tool, but a Metric version would be a second choice. Also on a DEM I measured the radius of the Horseshoe Curve and it was showing 532' R...when in actuality it is 902' R.

Thats a handy dandy (Ft/M=Degree) conversion chart...but what I'm looking for is a physical rotating tool (such as a measuring stick) that will help make a perfect circle, or semi circle.

There are several sets of curves on the DLS that can be used as templates. I can't quote you anything offhand but try searching for template or radius under description for a start.

Search for maddog1169. He has a great set of radius templates up to 3000 meters.
