R.I.P. these F40PH's

SUBWAY125

F40PH Lover!
I've had something on my mind for a very long time. Metro North Commuter Fail
(:hehe:) has acquired alot of F40PH-2CAT's so they can be rich off their West of Hudson lines. Here are the ones that got sold:
NJT F40PH-2CAT 4115 (Under rebuilds)
NJT F40PH-2CAT 4116 (Rebuilt to F40PH-3C)
NJT F40PH-2CAT 4123 (Rebuilt to F40PH-3C)
NJT F40PH-2CAT 4125 (Under rebuilds)

Not to also mention 4117 and 4118 are on AMT for now.
Here is the new numbers:
4191---4907
4192---4908
4193---4909
4194---4910
4115---4911
4116---4912
4123---4913
4125---4914

your point is ?

At least they are not like every other F40 that is a rusting hulk.Be glad that they will continue service on MTA

Yep, it is good that we still have some older motive power running on the tracks. I mostly see these on the Port Jervis line along with the gp40-2 and the pl42ac.

Still I'd rather see this:

And:

Rather than:

I dunno, that's a rather spiffy paint job if you ask me. Looks nicer than NJT's scheme.
I guess...but all of us Port Jervis line fans were so used to the old MTA "beach ball" scheme. But I sorta like the new F40PH-3C scheme. Better than the PL42AC's anyday!

Is that the metro north executive paint scheme for west of the hudson service. Metro North put this paint scheme on the p32ac-dm back in late 2008 or early 2009.
