I will preface this by saying that I did not go on to MPI property to take these photos. There's a road that runs along the fence up a hill, and I took the photos from the road.
Seen here, UP 9440 appears to have recently been washed/repainted, as they haven't even put "9440" on the side of the cab yet! What's more, the nose doesn't even have the UP shield yet! The only way I know the number of the unit is the front number boards. Also worth noting is the virtually bare CSX YN2 SD40-2 #8088 to the left, and the super-rare CSX YN1 SD40 #4606 to the right. Here are more detailed shots of 8088 and 4606.
And then, there was this to-be CSX SD40-3 in primer paint on one of the work tracks:
All in all, quite the sights at MPI today.
