I deleted it in cmp and just redowloaded it comes up missin 4 kuids
61392: 4000,4001,4002,4010....

theyre showning the question mark icon as not found on dls....
lookin forward to using this.......I havent tried this in 2006 yet....

trainz2010 build44088

The question mark icon does not mean the assets are not on DLS, but that your cmp has the asset reference in its database but with no information on its location (DLS, local or builtin). This situation may happen when cmp used to have a local version of an asset that has been later locally deleted while it was updated on DLS to a new version. In such a case, the problem might be fixed by an extended database recovery (EDR) which should update the local cmp DLS index to the latest version numbers for these assets.

Another way to fix the problem is to download these cmp lost assets manually from the DLS using the DLS link http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php and the new kuid version number. Go to DLS search page and search these assets by author name : pguy to get all my latest assets versions.

You should get 20 assets for author name pguy search. And you should have in the list :

Common data for <KUID2:61392:4000:7>
pglib for <KUID2:61392:4001:9>
esvlib for <KUID2:61392:4002:8>
Global consist library v2 for <KUID2:61392:4010:4>

Hope this will work for you.
If does not work send me an email or private message with your email address and I will send you a copy of the four cdp on the DLS so that you can resync your cmp asset database with the correct asset references.

Have a nice day.

ok thnx ill do that now appreciate the help

Portal manager rules give orders through some standard portal interface to the portals to emit trains and traps messages from the surveyed portals to catch outgoing train composition. You can have on a route several portals manager only if each portal manager manages a separate set of portals.
Code:
It appears that once a train is in an input/output queue, it will stay there even if emitted by the receiving portal. I also have queues from my original tests, even though I deleted the rule from that route and all the saved sessions, and no currently managed portal uses those queues. Is this correct behavior?
Yes it is the designed behavior. This behavior is needed to be compatible with normal session save/restore process. Input/output queues are located in a global library (Quick Portal stack manager library ) which saves/restores the queues in trainz global context at each startup and when leaving trainz.
When you rerun a session from a previously saved session, local session data is restored but not the global input/output queue stack. So to be able to rerun a session, input queues are not emptied when read, but the session component in charge of reading the input queue remembers in the session data what it has already read from the queue so that in case of a later save/restore it skips the already read data from the queue. Output processing is also designed to be save/restore compatible as it stacks inside the session data all the queue data from the begining of the session and during save processing will first clear the queue and rewrite all the queue data from the begining of the session.
Doing the things this way, you should be able to save/restore a session with output/input queue and rerun the same scenario with the same data sent to the queue and read from the queue.
The counterpart is that used data remains in global quick portal stack library even if it is no longer used and to enable to clear this remaining data, under trainz global option menu you will see an entry for the global quick portal stack library where you have some links to clear manualy the no longer used queues. Sorry I forget to give this information in the documentation, I will make a documentation update this weekend about this option.

Hope this explains better how the queues work with session save/restore.

Have a nice day.

Pierre.

Yes, this is very helpful. Thanks again.

Sorry to resurrect a somewhat old thread, but this seemed the best place.

First off, I too had problems with missing dependancies. The odd thing is that they are all there, I just had to persuade CCP to go and get.

Version three reports an error: "Error: Unable to link compiled script class." However, I am happy to use V2.

The third problem, which I have not solved, is getting QPM V2 to see my consists. I have them in surveyor, and they all are listed properly. In QPM, I have SurveyorList selected, but only the built-in consists appear, not my own. Anyone any advise?

ETA: I did click on the refresh list thing in QPM, and also came right out of Trainz, allowed TADDaemon to stop, then started it up again.

ETA2: Seems to be a problem with QuickDrive; removing that allowed me to see my new consists.

Seeing the same problem

I just open one of my routes that uses QPMV2 and all custom consists. When I tried to add a consist to the manager, only built-in consists were listed. Yet, when I created the session several months ago, my custom consists were available. Something is really wierd. And yes, I did click on the refresh list thing in QPM

And now QPM V2 has died altogether. It is still in the session list, but if I edit iot, all I see is abig empty box with a name at the top, and in the Driver mode, no trains coming from the portal.

I think that Auran's automatic update of content is causing the problem. I always disconnect my computer from the internet whenever I start Trainz. Once I forgot and I had the same thing happen - QPM stopped working. Not sure what I did to fix it - I think I reinstalled it from a CMP I had saved. Hope you can get it working again.

Hey, thanks for this. I happened to stumble onto this thread, and QuickPortalManager is just what I have been looking for. I have several routes that are a continuation of each other (still in early stages of completion), and was trying to figure out how I would get a train to leave one route through a portal, but not to appear in the next section (route) after it has actually traversed the miles between the two routes.

This will work very well for me.

Thanks pguy!

QuickPortalManagerV3 by pguy

I really like this because i can add my consists to it without doing it like i had to with Portal Timetable rule.
But i need to know if this will work with multiplayer?
I set up a route had the 10 trains added to the Quick Portal manager and all trains came out on time! Happy with what i saw so i added the multiplay rule and uploaded it to the DLS.
When i Dled it and tried to run a multiplayer session none of the trains came out of the portals.
Again will this work with MP?
Thanks
