Good morning all,
I just purchased 2010 Engineers Edition and it sure looks great. I even found the Midlands route was I always injoyed in an earler release but was never able to find in 2009 for whatever reasion. When I go to quick drive in 2010 I find that there are no consists and adding one does not seem to work. Is there some help on how to use quick drive? What am I missing?

You can't go straight to quick drive. Start Trainz, select routes then select edit route to put yourself into surveyor. Add loco(s) and traincars to build a train. Then go into driver.

TS2010 has a QuickDrive Rule that lets you do a lot of stuff in Driver that you normally would have to do in Surveyor.

Here is a procedure that should work:
1. Find some track you want to start from.
2. Open QuickDrive if it's not open. Click New Train.
3. It will probably default to Main List, but Main List is likely empty. That can be set through the Main Menu|Options, however there's an alternative. Click Main List and then click Surveyor List.
4. Find a consist in the list that you know has engines attached. Passenger DMU Class 105 BR is one example that does and should be default. Click it.
5. There should now be a small window with text saying "Placement Active" with a green background. Click the track and it should place the train there, assuming there is enough room and assuming that the train you selected isn't faulty.
6. Click Close this Window to get back to the main window.
7. Click Drivers.
8. Click a driver, any driver. (Name, picture, checkbox, anywhere will do.)
9. Click where it says "not in a vehicle" and select one of the engines in your newly placed train.
10. Adjust any other settings you want (commands, envronment, etc.) and then close the Quick Drive window.

Note that these settings don't get saved to the session or route.

After switching again between modes I'm now able to add to native mode. Another Auran quirk.
