I hope this thread will get the attention of Auran's helpdesk for us, the users to get direct answers for our questions.

Whistle Parameters

I want to know what is right. Some people, even a moderator, says the tag for whistle steam (smoke), must be "whistle" yet others say this is not a proper tag recognized by Trainz. I cannot find anything in any CCGs on this subject. Could it be possible for someone at Auran to write a tutorial specially for "whistle effects" so we all can be on the same and right track, please!

A quick search of the TC CCG revealed the following regarding smoke attachment for a steam whistle:
See number 7) page 393 (numbered) page 405 actual page count
Read the entire section on smoke effects. That effects section of the assets config.txt has smoke # as the effect reference and clearly tells you the attachment point in the model.

If you are further interested in sound, check the sound section of the CCG.

TC = Trainz Classic - but it is applicable to any version 2004 - up in this case!

Yes I see now, sorry. But I do not see how to find the CCG, you have a direct link? To me is just plain stupid to have to have so many different guides and such for one game, just makes it harder to enjoy! I feel very depressed from all that has happened to the game, the forums, and to me that I feel I do not want to create anything anymore!

From the main forum page, click on trainz classics, click on FAQs Tips and Tweaks and you see it there.

All you have to do is use the search tool provided in the forum - it is amazing what you'll find if you just take a moment to look!!!!

I also downloaded the twinkies zip, but need a program to open it, where I find that?

Freight work orders, other text

I have started running a digital download version of TS2009 World Builder as of two days ago. When I enter the activities for the USA, I notice that the peripheral info (locomotive operations, brakes, throttle, reverser etc. is in English, but the work order is in German.

Any fix for this? I tried contacting the North American distributor, but the e-mail could not be delivered.

Like many thing comin from auran- type 2006 to get to classics! Don't point a finger at people dude, can you honestly say you never did anything wrong. I think not!

Fan Site updates

When is the list for auran going tobe worked over? It amazes me where I have found links to my site through "web-stats", yet nothing in trainz list for what now-two years! Looking at the last one I just found on a german site and I don't speak german!

What session are you trying to play? If it's Marias Pass related, there are replacement texts availible on the DLS.

Perhaps you should start a different thread to seperate it from this mess...

A quick look on the helpdesk shows that you have had a reply to your ticket. Namely that it has been forwarded onto the community manager to look into updating the fan sites listing.
Please note that the ticket was replied to only a day ago and a half ago, and there are other issues that are more important (sorting out orders, getting the new helpdesk working properly, and so on and so on) for everyone to work on. In other words, it is a lower priority than a lot of other things at the moment. Especially since it is on the TRS2004 website, which is for a game that is now no longer supported by the helpdesk...

This question has come up in several other threads zec, and now you finally gave a straight answer, Bravo!
PS: As to the list, I have tried this for alot longer than the date of which this thread started. probably even before you got on board! I was trying to show a link to a site I found fron stats, but as yet Imageshack will not up-load it; and since we have to have images published somewhere for the forums to see them, is a long process at times. But your doin ok, just keep with it son!

New loads

Zec, do you know if a g-max load file can be replaced without the main mesh being included? One of my assets seems to have gotten the load shifted and I need to redo it.
Can anyone else answer this?
