Questions, questions and more questions

Years ago I bought Trainz for your PC V1.1.1 and found out that even though I exceeded all the min. requirements it did't play well. This is of course a common problem with all software and is not meant as a put-down on Trains. Anyway I now have a computer that exceeds all recommened requiremants so I re-installed it which leads to the following questions:

1-Where are the yard lights so operating at night is possible
2-Is there a patch so you don't throw the switch under the train when operating the in-cab controls
3-How do you make roads with the stripes and all on them
4-Can you have a clock running in one corner of the screen or anywhere for that matter so you can tell if you are on time
5-How do you set the time at a more reasonable 2:1,4:1 or 6:1 as 1:1 is way too slow and 19:1 and faster is way too fast
6-Did they make patches for any of these and if so are they still available

Thanks

As all Trainz versions up to including TRS04 are no longer supported by AURAN you would be better off to buy any of the newer versions of TRS/TS where most of your questions are dealt with and answered in these newer versions.

A good package for less than AU$20.00 to buy from AURAN would be the TRAINZ Collection pack with information here where you get all these newer versions:

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006
Trainz Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4
Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004
Trainz Ultimate Collection
Trainz Paintshed

which are not only updated and have lots more features than your Trainz version ever has. Plus with all the content available from the DownLoadStation for the later versions which will not load into your version of Trainz.

Or even buy the latest version TS10 which has the latest features of them all. Check these out here on the AURAN shop's web site. Seeing that you seem to have a PC that is very well equipped to handle the above.

Thanks for the info. I can't seem to find the requirements (proc./ram/vid/OS) for it. Also is there a phone# to order it, I don't put credit card #'s out on the net.

I don't think you can order by phone. Paypal is accepted, but again you would have to have set it up with bank card details, which is true of all on-line buying these days.

You should be able to buy in stores (maybe Bestbuy) in the US. Perhaps others will advise?
Try using the forum search button above to ask about US distribution because it's been asked before.

You are really wasting your time with that very early version, (you'll see I have it) as it's now quite different, the files are written in a different way and it's very much improved (though you'll see many postings from people who aren't happy). It also works much better on less than "super games playing computers" though it's much bigger in memory/storage requirements.

If it can only be bought on-line then it will never be bought. I live out in the middle of nowhere and the closest store that would have games is a Walmart about 2 hours from here but they don't carry much in the way of PC games anymore. I can do a search of the other U.S. stores as they have 800 #'s. How do I find out what the specs are for the Trains Collection Pack?

Trainz Collection Pack is a bundling of old versions I believe. In the UK is marketed by budget software firms, presumably is the same in US? Here it appears in the major electrical and games chains, and even Staples, in the budget (=cheap) games racks.

You'd be better buying the up to date and improved version, there have been considerable changes in the way it's programmed etc.

Have you looked on the main Auran website?

Try searching the forums from the search button at the top of the page
