Questions about route 'BR (WR) Branch Line (for TS12)'

Hello,
I've just downloaded the above route. It looks excellent and I'm quite chuffed (No pun intended) with it, but I do have a couple of questions:

1. In which era is the route set, if any? It looks like steam era but there are one or two things that make me think it may be more of a modern preserved line?

2. One of the assets included is '18 inch mine track rail only'. I presumed that this might be for a small industrial line that interacts with the standard gauge line but couldn't find the narrow gauge track actually used anywhere on the map.
Is it actually used, and if so a)where? and b) Which narrow gauge locos & stock would be suitable?

Other than that, it looks like a cracker of a route so thanks to whoever created it!

Hi, I'm Dick Turpin who created this route. The era the route is set in is the mid-1950's, when steam was on the demise, and diesels were starting to appear, but as you pointed out, it could be a modern preserved line. As for the 18 inch mine track rail only asset, I'm not sure how that managed to creep in - no narrow gauge line was planned. I'm glad you like the route, you could if you wish, extend the main line to make a longer run.
