questions about MTH

Good morning all. In preparing my final locomotive roster for the HO scale engines i am aiming for, i have seen several models that have caught my eye. If any of you guys have MTH and BLI models, how well do they run when consisted? Ex: MTH ES44AC paired with two BLI SD40-2s.

on another topic, one of my two mainline lashups needs a C44-9W. How hard is it to find an Atlas or Kato C44-9W these days?

Do not buy MTH HO engines, from my experience working at a hobby shop their quality is sub par and customer service is non existent if you have an issue.

Your track may have no dead spots including switch frogs, or the sound resets meaning you have to stop the locomotive and turn the sound back on. DCS is a joke considering DCC is already the accepted standard and DCS really offers nothing new, just a bunch of proprietary junk. MTH locomotives also run a bit slower than their DCC counterparts because MTH thinks track voltage should be higher than what the NMRA considers standard. It's bizarre.
