Question, What was the predecessor line of the Norfolk Southern thru Soddy Daisy TN?

I've just moved to the area from Illinois and am wondering if the Southern was the owner of the line from Chattanooga thru Soddy Daisy along US HWY 27 to Oneida Tennessee?

Anyway, I think that it was probably Southern, though don't quote me on that. It could have equally been the Norfolk Western, as they also ran through Tenn.

No, L&N is part of CSX, now. Their line goes to Chattanooga via Etowah.

after a fair amount of searching, the line through Soddy-Daisy was Southern's Rathole division before the merger.
