Question on object selection in surveyor 2.0

I couldn't find any guidance on this question when using S2. I like the Hinton Route and am working on fixing some of the unfinished track and broken industries that were delivered in Hinton and moving objects around the Hinton freight house so I can select objects better (MIN track, autos, etc). Is there an easy way to select a smaller object that's near a larger object? The larger object (Hinton freight house in this example) always gets selected even when I am zoomed in right on top of an adjacent object.

In the past layers were used or we would move the larger objects away. But is there an easier way with the new surveyor tool? The marquee tool doesn't seem to be precise enough. Is there a way to cycle thru the objects? Or select smaller objects precisely next to bigger objects easily? Precise object selection seems to be fundamental functionality, so I must be missing something obvious.

Thanks!

The answer is to use the Asset Filters found in the Assets Palette (but in the next release these filters will have a palette all of their own).

There is a Trainz Wiki Page dealing with the S2.0 tools at How_to_Use_S20_Tools

It has a section on using the filters to select objects in tight or difficult to access places such as near a MIN on sitting on top of another object such as a platform. This is found in the above document at Narrowing_the_Search
