Question about Trees

Hi - was wondering if anyone could recommend/suggest good trees to use that don't put a huge strain on graphics? Working on a fictional route that's main focus is logging/lumber so some areas will require a fair amount of trees. I'm finding in TS12 that some trees can really cause a lot more stuttering than others, however I'm not sure how to tell the difference as there's so many good quality trees available.

Thanks for any/all help.

Cheers

Hi

I use the series of trees on the DLS by author "bbf11" which are all named beginning with "Forest Autumn" or "Forest Summer". These are billboard trees but look good and give excellent frame rates. They have the advantage of working just as well in T:ANE so the route will transfer into that version without issue if you wish to do so in future.

Newer JVC trees look good and perform well too.

You can get away with speedtrees in isolated instances but as I found on my recent Kovdor route, when you plant forests of the things as far as the eye can see the frame rate gets hobbled.
