Question about the website Trainz Luvr

Hi again guys another query I have I cannot work out how to download and add trains from the website trainz Luvr cmp keeps telling me it cant cause they are not on the DLS when I try?

You would have to download the object(s) to your PC, and then use the "Import Content" or "Import CDP" under CMP "File". Note that some items on TrainzLuvr are quite old, and may not be in the appropriate format for your version of trainz...

Much of the stuff on trainz.luvr, IIRC, is an EXE format which is really a self-extracting archive. So, you'll either need to run the files or extract them with WinRAR, if you aren't keen on running EXEs you download off the net (I'm sure not), and put the data files somewhere. You would then use CMP's Import Content feature to import the content.

Hello again to update I tried as you said guys and used winzip as that is what I have and extracted the files to trainz. it now shows up on the list of locos but does not appear when I click on it? so I am once again lost is there something I am still missing?:'(

I also tried the import option in CMP but had no luck.

Most likely there is some fault with it. Is it listed in red in Surveyor or with a red exclamation in CMP? If so, either the loco or one of its dependencies, such as abogey, is faulty (in CMP, you'd see a red puzzle piece if it was a dependency and not the loco itself.) You'll need to fix it. Unfortunately, a lot of that older content was made to more-loose standards than modern content, and since it's not hosted on the DLS, it's up to you to fix it yourself. There's a thread in the TS2010 forum on a list of errors and how to fix them.

Ok thanks the item is a nyc Subway car train. I do not remember seeing a red marker ill have another look thanks. I have seen the train on you tube so I guess it must be a fault like you said

FYI, just about all errors are fixable, it's just a matter of learning how. And usually it's pretty easy, something that usually takes just a few minutes.

Hi again an update the train in question still wont work but it does appear in PVs mesh viewer toll so its there but I cannot work out how to sort the errors I need new help I think:'(
