hi

i recently downloaded the qr emu by alby6 and i want to know if its third rail or does it have a pantograph car

a quick vid on youtube showed one if a pantograph car, so is a pantograph car on the downloade station

Hi mackieman.

QR does not have any third rail track, The QR EMU would have a pantograph, i'm sure Alby6 would not have forgotten to include it.

i downloaded the pantograph and it doesnt wanna show up on the m unit. i have reinstalled it a couple of times and still no luck.

can you send it to me by mackieman321@hotmail.com if you have it working on your qr emu coz it may be problems with the download station

It's possible that the pantograph is on intermediate cars, and there might be 'driver trailer' cars. The link you posted shows a car named a 'DT'. Generally this means 'driver trailer', which don't normally have pantographs. 'M' and 'DM' and 'MT' cars (M standing for motor) generally have a pantograph :)

yes, i have a qr emu set that i downloaded. i'm not checking to make sure we're talking about the same one, but it seems likely we are. the cab car is indeed a driving TRAILER and the power (m-motor) car is cabless. so it takes at least one of each to have a train, with at least one motor and a cab at each end, i'm guessing more likely/tipical, most likely several cabless intermediate cars, and at least one panto-less cab car on at least one end.

not being from there i don't know the usual make up, but i'm running them as four car: dt-m-m-dt sets.

yes i know the one you mean i think. is it the one where the screenshot of it is at night??

ok having tested thes cars i can assure you they do have a Panto.

the cars are set in one of two configurrations

DM/M/DT pantograph is fitted to the M car. car sets Numbered 01-59 81-88
DM/M/T again pantograph is fitted to the M car. sets are numbered 60-80
with these sets they generally run with another set and are rare to see running alone as they have a single driver cab located in the DM car. the T car has no driver controls.

hope this helps

Cheers
