I have a problem in adding new products to any rail car. When I go to add a product to a car the default products are there, but when I go to the + to get a different product the window opens up but there is no list of products. I can type one in but that doesn’t do anything. Any ideas? Thanks funnnyfarm

Have you followed the usual advice regarding checking for faulty commodities/ones with missing dependencies?

Both the cars and the products are Faulty and Missing Dependents free. I do not use anything that have any problems, I try to stay away from them or fix them. Thanks funnnyfarm

If that's the case, I would suggest checking the following thread, and removing any products that are listed.

Shawn It doesn't appear that is my problem. I have 5 routes all 2 boards, They are yards they are steam engines,MOW Cars,Freight cars,Passenger Cars and Diesel with Motor Engines. The MOW yard was the only one that had a red bug in the lower right corner. And through posses of elimination I found what "PRR Marion Steam Shovel" although it was a yellow error. But still can't add new products. thanks funnnyfarm

Like "funnyfarm", I also found that none of the commodities in Shane's list were installed on my system. Obviously his list is far from exhaustive or complete. So my solution was to delete ALL the commodites that had been downloaded from the DLS - those that came with the Trainz install i left alone. On my next use of Surveyor the problem had disappeared and the products window displayed products again.

A few of my routes now displayed missing assets, only 3 commodities in total that were on the DLS. These I downloaded and tested their routes in Surveyor - again no problems with the product list.
