problem with up dates

Can anyone please help with this problem please, when I start Tranz telling me I have 539 updates, when I go to the contents date section, none of the actual updates are showing up, and when I click `get updates` all I get is this notice (see below).
Can anyone explain how to correct this in simple A B C / Janet and John language,
here's hoping someday will be able to guide me through to correct this problem

It appears the updatesmenugsl is hosed. You may have to reinstall, but I would attempt an EDR first.

Many thanks , I took your advice and did an extended database repair this morning , it took over two hours the final report was, 15,619 errors and 167 warnings !, jeeeees it makes me wonder how it ever used a start-up and run at all, final result was that I am now able to actually download all the missing dependencies listed , I'm not sure whether or not it's worth downloading missing dependencies and out of date KUIDs because it seems to bring problems along with them, it's great that people can upload their creations to the download station but I wish there was some way that the DSL could reject them if they were not totally compatible and had programming errors in them.

You will be pleased to know it does now its mostly older content thats got errors but most of the faulty stuff is being fixed thats why you have so many updates to down load
