Problem with trainz 2012 running.

I am not sure how to explain this without making it confusing. I have trainz 2012 that was originally installed over the internet, but when I started having problems with it, I purchased a version that has a CD. This was done last January, and everything was operating satisfactory, even though I had two Trainz 2012 icons on my desktop. I said that everything was running okay is true although when the route I was working on in surveyor would go into an auto save, it would take several minutes to save and during most of that time, I would have a message "Not Responding". Eventually in would finish the auto save, and I could continue. The problem I am having now is that my routes that I have created are linked to a Trainz 2012 icon on my desktop that is not working properly. When I click on the icon, It takes me to the Trainz 2012 main menu. I can click on "Content' and go to the content manager, "Forum", it takes me to the forum. However, when I click on the "Start" , it gives me a top menu bar only, with nothing under it. On the left side is the Trainz 2012 logo and next to that is a number in parentheses that keep changes, but never boots to give me the "menu for my Routes. How do I reinstall Trainz 2012 and still keep my routes. I guess the main question is in which files in NV3 are the routes and contents stored? This morning I installed a new spyware "WebRoot", which I am not sure if it caused a problem. Richard DAYTON

to get to the backup folder, go to your C: Drive, (or if your on a dell, D: Drive, or what so ever is where you installed it on) then go to programs, N3V games, Trainz 2012, Userdata or something like that, and then backups. There, you can safely copy and past the folders elsewhere from the backups to a USB, or your desktop.
