Problem with Surveyor

First off, ignore the name.
Here's my problem.

Like most people, I like taking premade routes and creating train sets for the layout and play them. I got Trainz 2012 for Christmas and started playing. Its awesome. But recently a problem has come up.

Ex. I'm on Mojave desert map building my train set (all in game trains, I don't download) I get done and press the Quickdrive button, whatever it is to start a testrun off the layout. I have to save the game, so save. Then, it said the senerio saved, but problems something something something go to content manager to view. It's confusing. Now I can't even create my own layout. Starting to tick me off. Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a solution. It only started recently. Please help.

Just call me Josh

As saving requires file writing you must be logged on as the Administrator and give Trainz Administrators rights too. Right click on the program exe file and choose "Run As Administrator".

I tried what you said, but now it doesn't even say the message, or work. Should I uninstall then re-install? Please help.

If you play a built-in session and try to save it (to resume some other time) does it complain then?

It saved and I could play the session, but its the surveyor that gives me trouble. I tried running as an administrator... nope. Should I reinstall the software?

If you have only created one session a re-install will do no harm, I do not have TS12 but it appears to be a faulty asset to blame.
Take into account I only have TS2010 but I would go into Content Manager, click on Today and see if the Route/Session has problems.
Hopefully a TS12 user will help out.

I reinstalled the game and when I started up, none of the main menu options were there. I uninstalled and tried again. Same thing. PLEASE ANYONE HELP.

BUMMER!:(

How did you remove/uninstall it?
Perhaps "cleaning" the registry just before installing would help, or at least keep you busy until some one with the right answer comes along. ;)

Well, I'm stupid.

What I never did was the patch. I don't know if the patch fixed it or something else, but thank god it's over. Thank you to all who helped me.

:D
