Problem with Surveyor

I am still coming to grips with TRS22. When I install a river with water in "ground texture" it is ok but if I change to "ground grid" it disappears.
I prefer creating routes in the original grid pattern so why does it not act as previous versions. When I work with "grid" and save "overwite route and do not save session" when
starting Surveyor next time the ground is back to texture.
I think I may go back to TRS12 at least I know what to do without so much stress.

Help will be appreciated.

I have not yet tried the Water Effect layer - my current project is in a desert region so there is not much call for bodies of open water. But from what Tony has stated in various posts it is best not to mix the two water types (Water Effect Layer and Ground Water). The Water Effect Layer is still, in some respects, a work in progress.

I gave up and went back to the old sheet water. The new water is like dealing with dark blue gelatin. I agree with pware it's still a work in progress that's only just started and hasn't progressed very far yet.

Not sure that the above replies answer the question - The water shows in Ground Textured but NOT in Grid - it shows in transparent also but very faintly. I do not like the Textured base but find it difficult
to work if some things do not show.
TRS12 is looking better by the day.

The water shows in Ground Textured but NOT in Grid

Now that I think I know what you are talking about, I had a look at my current development route. The water shows in both Textured (normal) view and in Wireframe (grid) view. In the case of grid view it very clearly shows the extent of the water grid, not the water surface and colour. That is the purpose of the grid view and, as far as I can recall, this has always been the case, certainly since T:ANE - I can't recall as far back as TS12 (thankfully).

TRS12 is looking better by the day.

Shudder ... perhaps it is time for a visit to the optometrist?

My experiences anyway.
