Problem with "Drive Via" Command

I'm suddenly having a problem when using "Drive Via" in Drive Schedule Rule.
Trains want to stop have have a think before continuing on there way. I can't think of anything I have changed to make this happen. This command works ok when not using the "Drive Schedule". Any ideas?

I have discovered that sometimes a train will see a "Drive Via" marker as a SIGNAL. If there is another train between it and the marker, it won't move until the train ahead has PASSED the marker. This doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. Also, I never place markers close to signals or spurs because sometimes they will miss the marker.

Good luck.

My trains do the same thing when each of them follows a new set of "Drive Via" commands for the first time. They stop for a few seconds, then continue on the selected path. It's almost as though each train is "learning" a new path the first time it tries it. After the first time through that sequence, they all keep right on rolling when the same sequence is called.

Also, when a train passes over a "drive via" trackmark, they will slow down a few mph's, then get back up to speed within a few seconds.

Still no luck

Thanks for the replies. I have moved trackmarks away from signals and points etc. No Luck. Trains still slow when approaching then stop for a few seconds and proceed (using the Schedule Rule). When the same route commands are entered manually. No problem. Trains don't even slow. Is there perhaps a command I can enter manually to tell the train (after stopping at a station using Drive to......Load commands) to continue at XX;XX (a specific time). I have just finished a route (track and minimal graphics only so far) that is 657km long with 14 stops along the way. Auckland to Wellington and am trying to get the passenger trains from Auckland (heading south) and Wellington (heading north) to run to the correct schedule. All this stopping and starting at trackmarks is making it very difficult.:(

Maybe there's another possibility: your computer's CPU speed. I'm using Trainz on a computer I've had for seven years. It has a CPU speed of 1.67 GHz; pretty slow by today's standards. When my trains stop and appear to be thinking about their next move, I attribute it to the computer's speed, or lack thereof, while it reads the next set of commands.

CPU Speed

Good point about computer internals. I'm currently running an:-
Intl (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU E8500 3.16GHz
4.00 GB RAM
64 bit Operating System
NVIDIA GeForce GTX260.
I had the machine built for games etc.
Is there anything there I should upgrade.
When it comes to all of the info above it's way above my aging head.
Thanks for all the help given.

apology

I'm sorry about the last attempt at posting. (New to this)
I was trying to add that:-
I have carried out a few tests and have found that the trains slow then stop for 5 seconds (Schedule Rule only) at every track mark.
I'm now starting to lose textures when going from train to train. The graphics (only textures) can take up to 3 or 4 minutes to "catch up" then jerky for a while.
I have had a look through a lot of other threads and suspect that my layout is just too big for my computer.
May have to think smaller.
I have appreciated the help given.
Thanks

Your PC specs are OK (a bit more RAM would come in useful as you have a 64 bit OS).

Try adjusting the Trainz settings for graphics (there are a number of threads on the forums about this) and it in the user guide.

Also worthwhile doing a full software "health check" on your PC. Running the Windows Live Safety Scanner is free and a reasonable check.
