Problem with a Portal CMTM 4

I am using a CMTM 4 Portal to use on a route that I am building that is quite long with several yards and stations. I have been moving the portal from station to station as the route expands to test the route between my last entry. This has been working quite well until tonight. For some reason, when I tried to disconnect the portal from the track spine, it wouldn't disconnect. I could move the portal around, but one end of the track that was still connected to the portal remained fixed to a specific spot and would not move. I tried moving it with the OBJECT setting and with the TRACK setting and no way was it about to move. When I tried to delete the track from the portal, it wouldn't delete. It appeared as if a section of track about 500 meters long became part of the portal with the portal entry spine point at the far end of the track it was connected to, and the spine point at the portal end. The only way to correct the problem was to delete the portal and install a new one. The problem is that when I delete the portal, I am loosing all of the train route that I have installed, which is 30 stops plus the track marks and other items that the train was doing on the route. Has this happened to any one else? Now I have to enter all of the information again!!!!! :'(

Try this put a spline point just before where the portal connects to the track then delete
The short peace of track. Then move your portal.
