problem using notepad to fix errors in trs2006sp1

i have put notepad as the program to edit config files in both tc3 and trs2006 but it just goes to document file in trs2006 but brings up the config file as i expect in tc3 any idea why this happens PS im running VistaSP1

Have you set both to run as administrator, looks like TRS2006 is not running in admin compatability mode.

If this is the case, you will find that you can't see your content this is because they are hidden under your personal directory

all you need do is copy them to the standard Auran location (assuming a standard install), delete assets.tdx and start CMP allow it to rebuild the database (may take some time, just be patient)

After you have installed Trainz Classics as a administrator on Microsoft Windows Vista:

Right Click the following files in the Trainz Classics Directory below and select compatibility tab and tick the small square box ----> Run this program as an Administrator.

ContentManager
CCP
Launcher
Trainz
TrainzDiag
openGLextensions
gsc
gse
TrainzUtil

Same rules apply for TRS2006.
