Problem in 12 --- unable to edit tracks

Hey, I know this sounds stupid, but I have a problem.

I opened a saved route and for some reason, some straightened sections of track werent straight anymore.
"No biggie", I thought, "just re-straighten them and all will be good."
Well, as it turns out, I am completly unable to change that certain section whatsoever.

I am in the right layer, no vehicles are placed on the tracks.
Every other track can be edited, just THIS stretch not.

Any ideas what could cause that?
Found an old thread about that problem in 04, but that approach (adding track and then deleting the section) doesnt work on my end.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Using the session layer check the track again, what do you see ?

"I am in the right layer, no vehicles are placed on the tracks." Check using map view.

You've not been adding track and merging ? Locked layer maybe.
Does the replace asset tool not work either?

Thank you guys.
:)

Well, here are 2 screenshots I took.

The tracks in question are the ones with the green roadbed.

@fran1:
I checked both layers individually, that doesnt do the trick, sadly.
As you can see, there is no locked layer visible.
The replace function does work, surprisingly.
I also deleted all triggers, trackmarks, etc, no avail.

@PBY357:
No, not really. There are tracks closer to the portal which can be edited.

@shaneturner12:
Thats usually the first thing I do when I edit my routes and that worked great since I started using 12.

Seems like a tricky one. I might end up replacing those tracks with invisible track and lay new tracks above them.
-.-

I've had similar problems. If I recall, I added another (small) section of track to the problem track (yeah ... counter-intuitive to say the least), then I could delete the problem section (and the newly added section too) ... I also think I moved other rail vehicles further away from the problem track (even if not actually on the problem track) ... maybe a combination of both ... can't remember exactly ... but I was eventually able to delete the track (without deleting any other track ... which was a relief).

Try deleting it from the spline objects menu. On one occasion on a route of mine, Trainz for no apparent reason decided that a piece of track was no longer a track, but a spline. Took me a while to find out...:)

Good thinking.
Doesnt work.

Its spreading. I sank the undelete-able tracks into the ground and lay new tracks. That got rid of it for a while.
Now in Driver, there is another section which looks "unstraightened".
Back in Surveyor, same thing.

You know what I´m gonna do?
Delete tha baseboard and start anew!
