After a long journey in development, we’re thrilled to share some huge news.

Pre-Orders are officially open for Trainz Sim: World Tour: Xbox Edition!

This marks a major milestone for the franchise as Trainz makes its way to console players around the world.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our entire Trainz team, our dedicated beta testers, and the incredible Trainz community, especially the voice actors who helped bring this release to life with their talent and passion.

We can’t wait to hear from our Xbox players and see how you enjoy the routes, sessions, and the all-new experience we’ve crafted for console.

I believe this is an X-Box exclusive. It is basically the same as TRS22 Driver with new sessions for 4 routes but it supports DX12 as that is required by Microsoft to be on the X-Box. This is an expansion of Trainz to a new audience not an upgrade to the PC version.

When will the PC version be available? And is there a big difference between Trainz Simulator 2022 or Trainz Simulator Plus and Trainz Simulator World?
TRS22, TRS22 PE, and TRS-PLUS are the PC/MAC versions of the same program with a whole lot more. Plus is a subscription-based version, with the Gold version offering unlimited DLC and some special DLC specific to that version.

Plus also has the full-version of High-Definition Terrain, whereas TRS22 PE has a limited read-only version. Both PE and Plus have the new, still in development, Surveyor 2.0 in addition to the old classic version.

So...is the DLS gonna end up clogged with more junk routes like with the mobile versions of Trainz, or will there be a separate DLS for every route made in the Xbox version of Trainz?

The X Box version does not include surveyor. It is a driver only version. You can't make routes with it. The idea is that you will pay for more routes and sessions after you get tired of the ones that are included.

I'm debating if I should pre-order or just wait until the game is officially released and watch some reviews before deciding to purchase the game! I know that I can't expect to be able to download Illawarra South Coast by Grazlash although it would be really excellent if it was possible even using the DLCs I had already purchased via Steam would be great but.. As I said I can't expect it

However, I would like to see some new payware routes especially Australian. something from the home of where Trainz began in Queensland. Brisbane to Gympie set in the 1980s-1990s era would be solid gold for the following games Xbox, Trainz Plus, TRS22
