Portal Craziness and Spline Popping

I have a route of some distance representing parts of the Mojave, Barstow Area and Needles sub, mostly Needles sub. I have pushed that to summit id ASH Hill, approx 50-60 route miles from portal to portal.

My method is to lay track, locate sidings, crossovers, add signals, trackmarks, etc. I run sessions to test AI as well as how track performs, displays and operates. I go in and fix kinks, make adjustments to accomadate AI funtions, etc. This layered approach seems to serve me well. Following specific procedures when adding grade xings, signals etc eliminates errors.

Now imagine my surprise when "Adair" told me he couldn't find a route to the Needles portal and I finally found that the track splines had broken or detached at a signal bridge (Safetran Gantry). Then the portals started acting all crazy emitting bug notices, derailing, emiting trains backwards. Also found that some of the portals had 'popped' their splines and detached from the track as well. As I try to fix these things, it looks like the problem is spreading.

Am I doing something wrong? I use the QuickPortal v3 to manage the Portals and the version of the Portal is Portal_Basic_HP.

I had to inspect ever portal and entire route in one session, found odd spline points, just individual circles, thay required deleting the object then you could delete the spline, sometimes it was the track tool, others the object.... things seem to be getting back to 'normal'.

I don't know if this will help but I have had routes do all kinds of strange things similar to that. I have found that after saving the routes and sessions and closing Trainz I will need to wait a few minutes before shutting down the computer. Even after closing the program it is still doing some stuff in the background that won't save right if shutting down the computer too soon.
