Poor Queensland, Can't catch a break!

Seems the more we mess with global warming, the more the world kicks back. Remember the world was around a long time before us humans got here.

My thoughts to all affected by the bad storms, we in US are bracing for ours, but us in PA are not to badly affected so far (just had to shut my electric things down for a day).

This is what the scientists said was going to happen - real extremes in weather. This spring is supposed to be very severe according to the National Weather Service long range forecasts.

We got about 22 inches where I live. It's so deep I can't open up my basement door. The dog is quite confused because that's the way he goes out. We let him out through the garage on the other side, and he kept looking at us like we're crazy! I stayed home and did support calls for people remotely. There's nothing like VOIP, email and VPN! :)

I really hope the people in Queensland are okay. I haven't heard anything else in the news - too much on Egypt, which seems to be the only news. :(

I remember the snowstorm in 1987 in England. I was working at the time, and we had our share. Like many when I was in high school back in 1978, I didn't mind the Blizzard of '78 because I had about two weeks off from school. :)

The "worst" seems to have passed, the townships of Misson Beach and Cardwell seems to have gotten the eye of the cyclone,
at this stage no cassualties (thanks) hundreds of properties damaged and crop damage is still being assessed.
It is a major sugarcane and banana growing area.
The cyclone has moved about 300-400km inland and is heading towards Mount Isa, 800km inland.

Cheers, from windy downunder.

Bill.

The snow here is a temporary problem, but let's face it; if you can shovel it or blow it somewhere, that's about the worst of your worries (as long as you don't have 'THE GRABBER' while you are doing so. Roads are closed, and business are hit'n'miss, but overall I would rather deal with the move-a-ble snow, than the fierce winds and rain of a hurricane (sorry...cyclone)!

For me, it's an inconvenience, but for you guys in Queensland, it's life threatening! My prayers are for you all, the snow I can handle!

Poor old Australia

Hi guys,
I think Australia has a bit of a bad time recently with the floods and now this hurricane. Looked at the news last night and some of the pictures and clips were quite scary. My cousins live in Australia but I don't think it will hit them. Also, on the news is that people are sheltering in shopping centres and that but some people are being turned away.It is clear skies over here but about 1 degree celsius. All my best wishes and symapthy tho you aussies over there

Regards
Uracco:eek: :(
