PON01Sundermeyer scenario by nomen

twarner

Around since 2001
I have downloaded this scenario and find an unknown kuid, 43955:54005. This appears to be part of loco Baltimore & Ohio 0-6-0 353.

Unfortunately nomen does not receive emails or private messages so I'm throwing this open in case someone may have any ideas.

It seems a pity that a scenario is released without the author being available for queries. Let's hope you're watching nomen!

Hi Terry.
How's it going?

Here's a quote from cathouse in another thread that should help you:

Hi
I had a missing hornsound kuid 43955:54005 for the ATSF 060#9001 used in Steel Yourself.

this is not on the DLS.

to get go to Prowlers site here http://steammachine.com/prowler/
go to downloads, locos and get the RGS#20 loco.
the hornsound is in the pack.

hope this helps someone.

I think this is the first time I've found a stray kuid using Google.:hehe:

cheers
Roy

Have fun,
Smiley.

Hey --

I'm a TRS2004 Luddite, so until I saw this post I didn't know that the rails on my little route were being pounded to death in another virtual reality !~!

I only noticed that the scenarios were for '06 when, after downloading them they didn't show up in '04. Then, after downloading your great layout again into '06 I find missing content. :(

Thanks for the heads up Brian. I'll go and get it and hope that it fixes the problem. :)

Nah! I've now got the loco OK but there's still problems with HTML and library calls. There's no help files with the Scenario so it all comes to a grinding halt again.

There's a couple of HTML files listed under nomen's name on the DS, so maybe you're missing one of them.

By the way, coincidentally, I've just noticed he thanks me for the tutorial and sample files on my website that he cloned to make the HTML files.
Good to see the tutorials are helping some people.

Remember those HTML tutorials Terry? :D

I can't help any further than that I'm afraid, as I don't use TRS2006 or Classics.

Cheers,
Smiley.

Yes, I remember them well! :D

Because I enjoy Phil's work so much I also got '06 out of storage on my other HD and loaded PO & Northern into it just to give these scenarios a try.

It's a pity that nomen can't make everything clear by giving instructions. I can't even find any reference to any html files in dependencies. It's just not worth the hassle of chasing everything for these scenarios when we have so much other stuff that works in '04 with no hassle and with full comprehensive instructions.

I hope nomen picks up on the problems here and sorts it out.

Let's hope that Phil's latest sessions, (already described in the forum) turn up soon.

Back to '04!

Hello and apologies to all who have trouble with my sessions. I did not notice the problem with the missing hornsound when using the loco, which is one of my longtime favourites. Smileyman helped out, and so I have to thank him again. Only thing I can do now is to say I'm sorry.

That the HTML files are not coming up as dependencies when downloading did not occur to me. Again I'm sorry, because if I had noticed that, I would have included a hint to them in the description. I used them, because I dont like sessions, were you need to print out the instructions before starting. I prefer having them on the screen for reference. And beeing completely ignorant of the HTM Language, I am very thankful to Smileyman for providing his tutorial.

I am not using TRS2004 anymore, since TRS2006 came out. I never had any problems with it. I understand, that this makes it impossible for TRS2004 users to run the sessions, but this at least can be seen prior to downloading. I have no means to provide the sessions in a TRS2004 compatible format.

If any questions are still left open, just put them here and I will try to answer them.

Thank you for your understanding, nomen.

Thanks for your reply and explanations nomen. It's all working fine now.

May I respectfully request that you arrange to accept messages somehow, email or private, then you can be contacted directly for assistance where necessary. I don't think that private messaging will open you to spam, if that's your concern.

It's a bit of a hit and miss to have to post and then just hope that you see the thread.

The html idea is great and I am very grateful to Brian for his help to me to sort this out for my session for Murchison. It works well doesn't it?

Best wishes
Terry
