Don't get me wrong, I like scratchbuilding too, BUT THAT WASN'T THE QUESTION!

Can we please get back on the subject?

About three years ago, I left HO (and a lot of HO trains) and got the Polar Express set. A little bit after that, my grandfather gave me his old Lionel train from '47. My next birthday I got a Williams Electric Trains (R.I.P.) CSX Dash-9 loco. Pretty soon I will probably get the Legacy system (YEEEEESSSSS!!!!!), a Legacy NYC GP7, and a Legacy Conrail SD80mac.

You lucky.... I so want Legacy system. But my family o guage layout is only 5ftX8ft. There is not a whole lot room for action. We run everything from the CW-80 80 Watt controller. And all of the switches are manual... Its kinda a pain but its better than nothing:) .

Matt

Well acually, my layout isn't much larger than that (My layout, not my family's. No one else in my family likes trains:'( . So I have to buy everything with my own money....:( ) I run everything off of a CW-80 and another Lionel transformer. All of my switches are manual...but I'm going to get a Legacy locomotive and so I'll find a way to get the Legacy system...:)

Hands in the sky

Both hands up lionel not only dates back to the early 20th century both it takes model railroading to the highest qualities also because its the only manufacuer that made the acela for 3 years strait and some add on 3 pack cars. I have three pieces of traditional rolling stock while I have a three bay conrail hopper and PS2 Santa Fe inclosed hopper along with 14 pieces of track. Did you know that lionel Joshwa cowen was actually jewish not to mention a great electrionist.
Basicly I have both thumbs up on lionel due to there superior detail with the big boy(2006) the cab foward(2005) the Acela (2003-2005) and the Class J N&W(2005) plus the John Bull(2008)
