Point motor to signalbox connections

In a route containing motorised points, such as "Point Motor WH63", how should the control connection to a signal box be implemented? Most routes containing these point motors seem to have nothing connected to them in the way of a cable for sending the electricity and control messages to operate the motor, although trackside relay cabinets are often placed thereabouts. Should there be some form of cable trough, such as "UK conc cable trough c.1.7" attached, inclusive of the various junction parts such as a T-junction?

Point Motor WH63 seems to have a connection site on one side ..........?

Any advice (or even a photo of a real one) would be gratefully received.

Point motors are (usually) electrically driven and the cables are often buried for safety reasons. Conduits for the cables can sometimes be laid alongside the track usually closer to the fence line, when there are too many cables to bury or for other reasons with the cable between the point and the conduits buried.

Try Cable Duct by Stationmistress. There are several different sizes on the DLS, all are splines.

Concrete Cable Run (Small) (kuid2:125373:4002:4) and UK conc cable trough t junc Size C.1.6 (kuid:45317:104733) seem to look quite realistic on UK routes. The cable runs lay flat and are quite representative of the way the UK troughs tend to be partly buried. The junctions need lowering with the Object Adjust Height tool by about -0.10m to look correct. There are other sizes for use where perhaps there would be many cables. Peter

Perhaps a most realistic approach will be to have some motorised points with cable troughs and some without. Ideally the point motors would themselves show cables emerging to bury themselves in the ballast or to offer themselves to a cable trough.

As with all these things, experimentation seems appropriate.
