PLUS - Replace Asset Under A Spline?

I had what I thought was a PLAY problem but I Did Not Have Play! When I started Trainz today it took noticeably longer. I assumed this was due to the transition from Silver membership to Play. So I tried Turf stuff and it all seemed the same. Specifically focused on Spline Underlayment Replace feature and it did not work at all. But this was all because I was never told to download a new copy of Trainz. Finally I worked through the maze of customer management pages and saw I did not Have Play. So downloading now. Hope this will help avoid a similar issue for others.

And you mean PLUS not Play...

Yeah finding these new features is like looking for Easter eggs in a junkyard.

Yes -- PLAY. I constantly mix those names. Tony's marketing consultant should have warned him about approximate names.
First install did not work. The installer presented a message that the install would be to a noted folder. However, the installer was at the 80% point when that appeared. Also the target install folder is where the existing program resides. Another tactical error. A customer not realizing what they were doing could easily corrupt the original and be left with nothing. Back to installing and only proceeding at the 100% install point.

That feature is only available with Trainz Plus membership or Gold membership. You need to patch up to 106618 on the Trainz Plus Beta stream. You don't need to download another copy.

THANKS - that was my next dumb question. It certainly implied that a download was needed. That was suspect since any functional difference in Base should have a new number. I am happily stopping my messing with downloads.

Here is a link to the secrets of updating:

There are several "help" areas in Trainz. Some are not frequently mentioned and thus not remembered.
Unfortunately they are not cataloged in a functional manner thus forcing lengthy searches and sometimes never
finding the answer.

Customers spend considerable time problem solving rather than using the product they paid for.

I did a wholesale replacement of the texture under the tracks in a route. Th process is simpler than described. While it worked the result was a zigzag look to the new texture where the track was not parallel to the grid. The minimum widt of 10 meters is ok for double track, that is a little wide for single.
