Please help

I agree that it says Trainzline Ground Fault. What kind of loco is it? I may have the manual or it may be available online.

This is a on a ES44AC GEVO.

I looked in the PDF operation manual of a ES44DC and there's a button that says TRAINLINE GROUND RESET so I'm betting that's what it says.

Thanks,

Dave

Yep, you are right, Dave...having driven these alot, that's exactly what it says. The socket next to it, "spotter circuit", is used to move the locomotive when the unit is not running. You plug a box into it that has a push button, set the isolation switch to "jog" and when you press the button it energizes the first traction motor allowing the unit to move under battery power.

That is an interesting function, I presume it is for moving it around yards and such?

It's used to hostle locomotives into service buildings without having to have the diesel engine running, thus eliminating the smog and diesel fumes dangers.

Oh, that makes sense. I wonder if any trainz locos have it? (no exhaust, maybe a whiny sound) I don't know what it looks like in this mode.
