Guys I need help, On a route I'm building I have an engine starting in an engine shed. It has orders to go to a side yard and couple onto passenger cars, what is the best way to get it to obey signals and do this task?
I give it a command to couple to such & such car, most of the time it dose. But you need to explain it in more detail. Dose it stop at a signal or what?
I have found that the drivers' IQ ain't what it should be : ) This means that many times they can't follow an order in a complex environment. You may need to place markers and order him/her to go here. Then go there. Then hook this car. Test and test again. Basically you are choreographing a play.
Why does he need to explain it in more detail for. For once I can understand a post.
But Tallboy, perhaps you could have the full train start from a say a carriage shed instead.
On second thought, perhaps Tallboy does need to explain it for example is the siding reasonable close to the engine shed for the light engines to attach. Almost forget what time-period is it suppose to be, and what sort of work, commuter, medium or long distance, etc.
