Hi guys. I having an AMAZING amount of trouble with the CMP. I have TRS2006 and I already installed SP1. Right now I am (trying) to install the monorail stuff, but it is really REALLY frustrating, I just can't use the CMP, why can't it just be an installer?

Can somebody PLEASE list, step by step, from the launching menu to exiting the CMP, what to do to install the monorail route so I can play it on trainz 2006. I've noticed many other people having trouble with this and I think that a definite step by step guide should help a lot of people.

Thanks!!!!

Calm down.

You not to get a response in less than a day. This is an international community, people do not live here.

I do not know how the monorail stuff is packaged, probably CDP.
From the start menu for Trainz:

Click Manage Content
Wait for CMP to open
Once open go to File > Import CDP's
Locate the files you wish to install and hit install in the little window
Wait for CMP to install items
If anything come up in the window (Open For Edit tab) Ctrl+A then Ctrl+M and wait for the items to Commit.
Close CMP

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Adam

The monorail files should be in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2006\Docs\manuals_cd\extras\Monorail

The instructions say to select all nine files. I found this was too much for CMP and it was better to select and import each file separately, one at a time.

Yeah.. sorry about "virtual" screaming. I was really frustrated. Anyway, I did exactly what you guys said and the monorail stuff was in the installed list. The green triangle was showing next to each asset, not sure what it means. I started trainz 2006 and the route, cars, or anything related to the monorail route was there! I went back into CMP and the Monorail files were not there in the installed list, they were not even imported. SP1 is installed, my serial number is registered, everything is fine.

What do I do?

You can see the files in Trainz right? Did you check the Installed Content tab to see if it is anywhere in there? CMP sometimes doesn't show the assest even if it is installed and you can see it in Trainz.

The green triangle means it is installed, and has become local content.

Cheers,
Adam

No. I saw the content in the installed list in CMP before I opened trainz. I opened trainz directly from the CMP, and none of the content from the monorail route was there. I checked railyard, surveyor, and driver. I exited the game and opened up CMP. The monorail assets were missing from the CMP entirely.

Check the Open for Edit tab. If the items are there, select them all by clicking on one and pressing Ctrl & A at the same time quickly. This will turn the list blue.

With the list blue, press Ctrl & M at the same time to Commit the items to the Trainz database.

They should appear in Railyard unless there are errors with the content.
