does anyone know why the new plant trees fade out

Could you post some KUIDs for examples? And what do you mean by fade? LOD decreases detail as you move away. so they won't be as detailed.

I think the last couple of updates nerfed PF trees from rendering the level of detail (LOD) properly. When the first batch was released on the DLS they worked really well, and looked supererb. Now I have to be really close to them before they appear normal.

I do wish they had full season versions of PF trees. Once you get into winter months they revert to spring/summer foliage rather than just the branches. Fall colors look great.

This is a known issue and hopefully it will be resolved in future releases. The trees and the tech behind them are still in beta.
