PhysX on GPU or CPU

I need to nkow where i should move my phsyx simulation to the gpu or cpu on my setup?
GPU RTX 4090
CPU Threadripper 3970x

I see arguments for leave it on auto. Some say hardline it too the gpu. Others say its on CPU anyways due to auto setting choosing for itself. On the other side some train sims or sims in general don't benefit from gpu physx simulation. Can someone clear the air for me?
 
Your GPU has a lot more processing power than your CPU, having said that it's more a matter of which has the more spare capacity. So try it on each with task manager running and see which has the more spare capacity.
