Performance Statistics

Can someone advise what to look for in Performance Statistics in Surveyor/Driver that is dragging down frame rates? There is a LOT of info there and I am not quite sure what I am looking for and what to do when I find it !

Thanks.

Almost no PC will run T:ANE with performance sliders set on full

A Sketchup Ruby TMix asset will make framerates crawl, as will a freight yard full of several 1 mile long trains, with dozens of locos

Even some $1700 laptops will not run T:ANE with good framerates

My computer has no problem running with sliders on full. I would class it as an average system.
Tane runs much easier than TS12.

Look for the worse index count and the worse buffer count kuids. Preview can also help.

For low end machines ie laptops etc look for 17_5 stuff under my kuid. Don't mix anything other than the 17_5 stuff for rolling stock. There will be a loco coming shortly. Keep the scenery objects to a minimum, there is an overhead for each one. I can squeeze 25 frames per second out of an i5 with 4000 series integrated graphics by choosing the content carefully.

On the N3V YouTube channel there are a number of content creation tutorial videos. I think the one on analyzing content may provide some of the help you are looking for.
