Coming along nicely there sethmcs. I'm really impressed. I don't think the mills can get away with now what they did back then. damn enviromentalists... :hehe:

Slag is good stuff

Actually, I have three friends working for a company that is reclaiming alloys from the Hinckston run slag dump. Mostly moly that is used for armor. Slag is good stuff that can be used for many commercial purposes but when they were making steel slag was merely a waste product to be discarded.;)

Onward to Johnstown and Bethlehem Steel

Although this area is going to take a lot of time, I thought I post a few progress shots.:hehe:

I recently saw some screens and they reminded me of this thread. I found this thead on page # 14 and I thought it was just a short time ago that you posted it. Are you still working on this route?

Sethmc's the Horseshoe Curve KING !

Really...Sethmc's route is the most complete and detailed of all the Horseshoe Curve routes...but MINE's bigger 7280 baseboards 687 mb.:pHuntingon PA to Bolvair PA, and north to Phillipsburg

Actually, with work starting to slow down I dusted off this route and I am currently working on the city of Johnstown. Progress is painfully slow working in urban areas that have a lot of detail. I live in Johnstown and wish to make the route as prototypical as possible. Generally it takes 2 weeks per mile and urban areas 4 weeks per mile to do it right. About 10 miles are complete.

Very nice shots there.

Where did you get those town houses? I've been looking for a variety of American houses for a while!

Which ones? Quote a picture and I'll give you the Kuid.:D

WOW! Is it available for DL anywhere?

Not complete yet. Still working on it.:o

Seth,

Contact me when you get a chance. The Conrail Historical Society will be up on Horseshoe Curve at Altoona's Railfest at the end of June and I'd like to demo your route as its obviously from the area. We'll be up on top of the Curve all weekend and I'll have Trainz running both days up there more than likely. I started a Curve route but havent really got anywhere with it...

hit me up when you get a chance!

Yeah....Tell me about it....Sure is time consuming eh...Thats the only down fall on making routes...Id rather play more then work on it eh :hehe: ...Looks good by the way

Welcome to the world of my latest project. :hehe: 30 track yard with 3 refueling tracks and 3 engine shops, and I'm only done with the refueling area and engine shops and 4 tracks...in 2 days!
