Patch setup lost

Hello everybody,

I recently installed Trainz Simulator 2009 after not using it for some time. I installed the first and second patch manually, and when I started up for the first time it told me a third patch was waiting for me.

I downloaded it, but the installation told me it needed the new directx files. So I downloaded and updated directx, but now I have a problem.

I can't find the location where the Patch setup has stored itself on my harddrive. Thus I can't start the update!

Can anybody tell me where the updatefile is stored on my computer?
Thanks in advance!

It could be anywhere, there is no special place that downloaded service packs go to. Go to your Auran Profile, note the name of the file and then do a Windows search for that name.

You could start another download, that will tell you where the other went to.

if yer using firefox check C:\user\user name\downloads
or it could depend on your browser settings... most browsers save directly to the desktop by default

sory about mnaking another post but ... you can also go under windows search and put in the patch file name and it should take you to the folder where it has been downloaded to

Just to add, if your using firefox. At the top click tools>Downloads.

A list of all downloads will appear scroll down to the patch and then right click>"Open Containing Folder"

The folder will pop up and you can install the patch.

The patch take about 20 sec.to DL and about 3 hours to install with data base update too.
Your time mabe be longer or shorter depends on your syste.m

If you are using TS2009, there is another option.

If you have registered your username and password (and CD key) in the Options box, you can click Patch Trainz (from the Options box, Planet Auran tab) to start the patching process.
