Passenger Time schedule script/rule

Hello all I was wondering if there was a script/rule existed. Where you could schedule a passenger train keep running from say like 4:30 AM till like 12:00 PM etc. I only have 2 stations so I figure it should be relatively easy to do. Ive look at various rules they don`t seem to have the feature. Any help and suggestions with this be highly appreciated thank`s.

There is a built-in Drive Schedule command that works alongside one of the built-in rules that may help. As my Trainz has just crashed, I cannot check exactly which one it is.

Hi

There is a Wait for Minute driver command which would be useful for this if the trains ran at the same time each hour. e.g. The train leaves station 1 at 5 minutes past the hour to travel to station 2. Assuming that this station is about 20 minutes away the train would reverse and wait until 35 minutes past the hour when it runs back to station 1 where it reverses again. A repeat driver command would send it back to the beginning of the commands when the sequence will repeat.

Depending on the distance between the stations this could be programmed to run one or more times an hour. This will continue to run until you stop it.

The command is on the DLS and may be built in to some versions but I don't have 2009 installed to check it.

Regards

Brian

The stations are about 14.5 US track miles apart. Track speeds range from 20 mph -35 mph being the highest the passenger train never really ever seem`s to top over 26 mph. On a side note the track is shared by freight with 2-3 siding tracks. I had in mind is have one passenger consist run from 4:30 am to like 12:00 PM. Then another consist take`s over and run`s to like 9:00 PM thank`s for the replies guys.

I think shaneturner12 was talking about the Schedule Rule. You can assign certain timepoints to certain drivers at certain industries. If you want to simulate a whole day's worth of back-and-forth, it's going to take a while to program all the schedules. But once you have done that, you can run all the trains on the single command "Drive schedule."

WARNING: Your trains will take the shortest route to each destination. Moreover, the "Drive schedule" command is a series of "Drive To/Drive To Trackmark" commands. If you want your train to drive via trackmarks, I suggest you use the Schedule Library rule with the "Copy Commands" command instead, and use the "Wait until hour" and "Wait until minute" commands to set the departure times.
