Passenger load/Loco position problem.

I have used the 'platform 350m' on a UK steam system Mallard ect with 12 mk1,s or 2,s in tow. Is there a way to make the loco come to a nice ordered stop at the correct end of the platform?

I use go to station platform x which the trains do but the loco always comes to a walking pace at the platform approach end. The go to symbol disapears and the unload symbol becomes the active comand making the train crawl along the platform eventually coming to a stop at the end and unlaoding the passengers. Is there any way to avoid this non proto-typical action?

Hi Mike,
this happens because of the way the station is set up, there is an invisible trigger which the creator of the station sets up to sense where the train is. The best way to get over this is to use the AJS invisible stations by andi06, search the DLS for user andi06 or kuid number 122285.
There are quite a few stations available but they do take a bit of setting up. Help files are included.
Hope this helps,

I cannot get CMP to work my profile does not include a 2006 product key!
The help desk knows I am waitng for a fix as it says I have UTC which I do not have.
Would the MS platfoorms be better. The largest of the fixed platforms is about two coaches too short anyway! I will replace them with large brick in the mean time.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

I think all the fixed platforms will perform the same way, but one thing you could try is place a trackmark just before the start of the platform, name it, tell the driver to drive via this trackmark then drive to the station. You may have to do a bit of testing to get it right, move the trackmark farther away if they come in too fast or closer if they come in too slow.

Cheers,
