Parallels and Macs

I have a 2012 iMac which I was using with Parallels (Virtual PC). I was able to run T12 and Murchison without any problems. Somewhere either an Apple update or a Parallels update made it so the programs do not see the proper video drivers. I have tried reloads and Trainz updates. Any suggestions?

Also, I also have Trainz on the Mac side. I would love some geared locos and/or narrow gauge options. Does anybody make add ons for the Mac version of the program?

TIA!

I'm surprised you were able to run Trainz on a virtual machine- it wouldn't work for me. Afraid I don't know what the problem is.

With regard to extra content, pretty much everything on the DLS will work except content which requires built in content from the S&C/TC3 packs because obviously they won't work.

I'd be interested to know if there are any actual add-ons in the nature of the DLC content for Mac, though.

My experience with Parallels and VMFusion is you give up half you system resources to run it. Works "alright" with older versions. If you have a Windows install CD, better to go with Bootcamp and reclaim all system resources.*
As for the Mac version, anything short of N3V DLC will run on it. Errors are a different headache as PEV tools will be needed to fix them and are only Windows compatible.*
Don't cut yourself short through emulators.
