paintshed killed my train

:'( Just reformatted my computer, installed my TRS2004 (as i have kids, i am too poor to afford 2006) , working beautifully, downloaded some locos and rolling stock, great, installed paintshed, not great... The locos text etc still appear in railyard but the actual loco is gone, invisible, uninstalled paintshed and got some back but some are still missing...

If a loco or any other item of rolling stock is listed in Railyard but it's 3D image isn't displayed, the most likely cause is one or more missing rolling stock parts (dependencies such as bogies/trucks, pantographs, enginespecs, enginesounds, etc).

Run Trainz Objectz and use its Menu > Check For Missing RS Parts option. Apologies if you've already tried that.

Be happy with your TRS 2004 as often TRS 2006 does behave odd on some people's equipment (like on my 2 PCs). There is not much difference with TRS06 anyway, so what you would see in TRS06 is similar of what you see in your TRS04. With some faulty sound and steam, CMP not working as it should and perhaps some other issues. Even with one service pack released and no others in the pipe line.

Hi you do have to have to follow few rules when installing 04 the SP4 service pack and paintshed.
Make sure you have no antivirus type programs running then install 04 followed by the service pack then install paintshed.
Once you have done this load 04 and once it has loaded in shut down then run paintshed then select a file and paint it add text and logo if required and then save.
This causes paintshed to be recognised by 04 it is needed as some of the content used in 04 is paintshed and if you don't have it installed and working you will find that you wont be able to use any paintshed items which is where you will get your missing content.
