Paint scheme has downloaded as just black & white rectangles

Has anyone experienced an engine or aircraft that displays a company paint scheme correctly in the DLS content but when downloaded, shows just random black & white rectangles? The shape is solid and correct and most detail is shown - its just the paint scheme that has changed.

Any pointers appreciated.

Hi Bob,

Check out Shane's FAQs on stuff like this. This sounds to me like a texture compression problem. Check the setting for this in Content Manager. Go to the settings (options), and check under the miscellaneous tab. If it's checked, uncheck it. The next step requires opening up your downloaded content for edit, and then recommitting it again.

Excellent ! I've recovered the paint scheme following your instructions - many thanks.

One final thing I'm unsure of - you don't say to re-check the texture compression box in options but I assumed I would. When I did, I got a graphics warning message so I've left it unchecked, which leaves me wondering if I leave it unchecked?

I've been messing around with this for ages trying lower display detail options. Am now going to try and download other aircraft that I've deleted in the past because of the same problem.

I forgot to mention to keep the checkbox unchecked.

I saw you had struggled with this before, and I assumed the others had solved your problem. I guess not.
