Pacific NW. Seattle and surrounds

Suffering for his art.
Been a long while since I posted screenies of my wips so I thourght I'd treat you (or not as the case maybe :hehe:)

For over a year now I've been working on a Downtown Seattle route hopeing to eventually extend it to Everett and Down to Tacoma and over the Cascades. Will be pretty prototypical within the confines of trainz assets. I know the track isn't the best out there but I'm only using a low poly one untill I know if my computer can handle it along with the urban sprawl.

Cheers guys...

The only thing I'm worried about is the route trashing my comp.... Its getting harder and harder to place objects while the computer is litterly screaming at me... Am trying to save dosh for more ram but I'm too soft with the kids, they manage to wipe any savings I have every weekend :hehe:.

Thanks again guys.

Sorry 'bout the long wait between updates but had Internet probs (bloody Virgin Media) and had lots of gigs lately so not had too much time to create routes but this is what I managed in the odd times it calmed down a little bit...

Cheers once again guys....

:)

Looking great. I have not come across any other Seattle maps so this will be particularly good.

On the subject of sports it will be a big night at the Halliwell-Jones this Friday night!

Thanks for the comments - little confidence boosts to get the thing finished always come in handy

There are some assets on the DLS which might help you with the streets.
I think they are named "YARNish"....

Other then that, this looks pretty cool.

Cheers none of the Yarn intersections work in 2010... probobly leaving the road intersections till last as well as the track the frame-rates ae already playing merry hell with my computer literly screaching at me :hehe:

@2Wayne - Thanks, it should work (I've been using 2010) but you'll need the speed treez from http://trainzup.com/ plus there's probobly many other assets used that I picked up over the years

This is awesome. I've been waiting for a good Seattle route and this looks like it.

Great job. Downtown looks spot on.

Looking good Andy. All we need now is some nice, kind, generous creator to make a Space Needle!!!! :D

Thanks for all the encouragement folks

(should really start to read my own threads after posting lol)

Getting near this point now (haha sorry bad pun)..... Anyone up for the challange

RIGHT ON ANDY!! Just stumbled across this thread. Excellent work - being a native of that area and only 5 years removed from Tacoma, I can tell you you've got the look of the bridges and King St perfect:D I used to work alot down around there (Marginal WY and thereabout) Keep up the good work!:udrool: :D :D
I started in on a transdem goes from Tacoma to Seattle but it's going slow as Tacoma is hard to model (when you're as intimate as I am with the area it's hard not to have it perfect)
