Well, I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but never got around to it. I hope no-one minds me asking, but what exactly caused the old forum to crash? I am real curious.

Yes, I know I shouldn't bring this up, this will give very sorrow memories for some people, but I am too curious to wait any more.

The exact cause is unknown and while sometimes it's interesting to speculate, it won't take us anywhere. We all know how reliable any computer system is anyway.
