Oil in North Dakota increases rail traffic...

Yes ... they are fracking the entire Baakin area(s) which covers SW Canada, N Dakota, Montana, Washington, Wyoming etc ... but what are the ecological after effects of mass fracking the ground with fracking chemicals and fracking wastwater on a massive multi state scale ... a poluted/poisoned groundwater aquifier, and cancer increases ... etc ?

Fracking is a very dirty technology !

Yes, it is difficult to understand the pro/con of fracking.

Here is an explanation of the process:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14432401

and here:

http://www.gaslandthemovie.com/whats-fracking

It has been reported that there is an estimated 24,000,000,000 (billion) barrels of oil in North Dakota, west to Montana and East of Williston, ND.

Using 40 gallons per barrel, that works out to be..... 960,000,000,000 (billion) gallons of oil.

If using rail tankers at 80,000 gallons....that would require 12,000,000 (million) tank cars.

So, good or not good, who are we to say.

Regards,
